contributeThe Research Associate I - Cellularization (OMG) will
support the development and characterization of bioinks for 3D
printing scaffolds for lung tissue engineering. They will design
and print 3D diagnostic models to test bionks for compatibility
with different lung cell types.Prepare and characterize bioinks for
3D printing assessment and cellularization studiesDesign 3D
printing diagnostic models for cellularization studiesAssist with
3D printing, scaffold processing, and bioreactor assembly for
cellularization experimentsPerform cell studies to address
technical challenges with efficient post-processing of 3D printed
objectsIndependently and collectively develop and implement
assays/protocols to evaluate cell phenotypes after cellularization
of 3D printed scaffolds, including but not limiting to imaging
(bright field, confocal, light sheet). immunostaining and
qPCRPrepare reports, technical documents and SOP for internal and
external useRecord and manage use of material and reagents needed
to carry out experimentsReport and present hypothesis driven
experimental results, data, and plans to other team members
individually and at group meetingsRecord all laboratory data in the
in-house data management system(s)Meet 1:1 with managers to review
results and progressPerform other duties as assignedFor this role
you will needMinimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences
(BA/BS) in Cellular Biology, Developmental Biology, or Biomedical
Engineering or related field1+ years of experience in a biomedical
engineering or cell/molecular biology lab environment (or
equivalent combination of education & experience)Proficiency with
MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)Aseptic Technique
and mammalian cell cultureUnderstanding of tissue engineering
concepts and fieldKnowledge of cell biologyImaging and
microscopyBasic knowledge of 3D CAD software designPreferred
QualificationsMaster's degree (MA/MS/MBA) in Cellular Biology,
Developmental Biology, or Biomedical Engineering or related fieldAt
