As an independent bank, we are deeply rooted in the communities we serve and offer our employees successful and rewarding careers.This position requires the ability to work in the Salem, MA offices.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCoach, support and supervise a team in the execution of all servicing functions, including: boarding new loans to the core system; processing new loan funding, payments and advances; processing of loan payoffs; processing mortgage discharges; oversee loan modifications; issuing accurate statements and notices; adjusting interest rates as agreed; responding to customer inquiries and requests; maintenance to customer, account, or transactional records; maintain official loan files; manage collateral position and release; first level accounting reconcilement; assist management with audit responsibilities.Recommend performance metrics for speed, quality, and efficiency. Supervise team to achieve targets. Periodically review and recommend adjustments to targetsContinually review and adjust processes to optimize efficiency, customer experience and controls. Includes process mapping, streamlining, and ensuring team is fully trained and skilled on systems to fully leverage automated tools for efficiency, quality and control.Adheres to applicable state and federal regulatory compliance related issuesImplement and sustain strong control environment and disciplines, including: Development and maintenance of written operating procedures for all daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly loan operations tasks define and implement controls to ensure duties are executed accurately and as scheduled, data quality on systems of record, and compliance with bank policy and laws and regulationsBuild internal and external relationships through exceptional problems solving, ownership and follow-through. Handle escalated client issues and disputes. Provide a high level of personalized service support to key client and strategic relationships within the bank.Provide and promote first class customer service through coaching and training opportunities to staff, assisting with staff to identify priorities, continued workflow and allocating development resources accordinglyWorks with the Product Development Team as needed to prepare for the roll out of new loan products. Directly responsible for the testing and implementation of those products, as well as training staff to appropriately support the new product and developing the policy and operational procedures necessaryLiaison between Loan Servicing and business lines for operational issues and special projects which need loan servicing support. Manage communication with business lines to ensure completion of projects to improve efficiency.Assist Management with any acquisitions related to loans. Assist with outside vendors on system integration, servicing requirements, operational enhancements and problems/resolutions. Coordinates and performs all testing of new system enhancements or program changes.Assist with the review of third party contracts and agreements related to Loan Servicing.Assist with vendors and outside service providers to ensure operational performance standards are maintained and implementedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESOversee staff of 10+Regular attendance is essential to this position.Recruit, hire and supervise servicing team members to meet the business needsCommunicate clearly and offer priorities for the contact center to support bank goals and objectivesSet clear goals and objectives for each member of the teamCoaching, training and development of team.Conducts periodic performance reviews and provides for the ongoing guidance, training and direction in developing and implementing the Bank's plans and objectives.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree preferred; at least 5 years of experience in lending, credit, or servicing, including at least 3 years in supervisory role. Demonstrated capability and familiarity with Microsoft products utilizing Excel and Word. Strong Operational and technical support experience required.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
