Job Description:
Veterinary Specialty Services (VSS) is looking for a board
certified or residency-trained criticalist to join our team . - Our
facilities are equipped with the most advanced technology. Our
Manchester hospital has on site MRI, CT, ventilator, full in house
bloodwork/blood gas, Idexx laboratory (on site), fluoroscopy, and
physical therapy. Our O'Fallon hospital is also equipped with a
ventilator and full in house bloodwork/blood gas. - Our ECC team
sees primary incoming emergencies, manages patients hospitalized in
the ICU, and works closely with the other departments to assist in
their incoming emergencies. - We are dedicated to excellent patient
care and client service. -Our ICU is 'open admission' as patients
are admitted into the ICU from all departments. - The entire
hospital works closely on cases and has a team-oriented approach to
patient care. - VSS has a very low turnover rate among our
veterinarians. - The ECC department was started in 2006 and became
a 24 hour emergency facility in 2008. - Since that time we have
grown exponentially. - We pride ourselves on team achievements and
helping each other to provide the best care for the patient. - We
are looking for a team-oriented criticalist who thrives on
practicing leading edge medicine in a high volume practice with a
four day workweek so there is still time to enjoy life. - The
position is primarily daytime with weekday and weekend shifts and
shared on call time. - The evening and overnight shifts are covered
by the ER DVMs. - We are looking to fill this role immediately and
