Description:Catholic Charities New Hampshire is looking for a dynamic Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to join our Senior Leadership team. We respond to those in need by offering programs that heal, comfort and empower.The CHRO provides executive-level leadership and guidance of the organization's human resources operations. Reporting to the President of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, the position delivers the overall strategic Human Resources leadership to the organization by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team and Board of Trustees. The CHRO is responsible for setting, enforcing and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures and best practices, as well as identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals and programs that drive an optimal employee culture.As a faith-based health and human services organization, this position requires an individual willing to lead with humility and grace; someone who embraces the servant leadership philosophy. This is a "hands-on" role, leading a staff of 10 on-sight department members as well as consulting to 7 off-site facility-based HR managers. The role predominantly assists in developing and implementing employment and labor relations strategies for an organization of more than 1,000 employees. Due to business needs, a willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include an occasional weekend and/or evening work is required.Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to define the organization's long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management
  • Provides advice and counsel to senior level executives and operational managers regarding complex human resource issues
  • Evaluates, recommends and assists staff in implementing effective employee recruitment, retention and talent acquisition strategies and processes, including but not limited to, recruitment, selection, and onboarding of employees
  • Develops appropriate policies and programs for the effective management of Human Resources of the organization, including, but not limited to programs for employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), employee complaints and grievances, and career development
  • Monitors employee performance, discipline, retention, terminations, and morale, and make appropriate policy and operational recommendations
  • Ensures compliance with employment related legal and regulatory requirements. Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's Degree in Human Resources preferred
    • At least ten years of experience in a senior-level Human Resource position, healthcare and nonprofit experience a plus
    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred NHCCSSIJ
