Under general supervision of the Director of Operations, The Operations Assistant / Trainer will travel to pharmacies within specified territory to perform appropriate operational tasks to enhance workflow of pharmacy. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be proficient with the Genoa pharmacy dispensing system, including the pharmacy computer program and packaging options
  • Demonstrates knowledge of medication preparation for dispensing including compliance packaging
  • Assists the pharmacy employees with communication with insurance carriers and state billing claims issues
  • Performs pharmacy housekeeping tasks and all other pharmacy technician procedures
  • Assists other pharmacy employees with implementation of existing business with technology provided
  • Aids in establishing and training of appropriate procedures for growth of prescription volume
  • Demonstrates knowledge of business practices and general operations of pharmacies within region
  • Be able to travel regularly within specified region
  • Exercises tact when dealing with mental health patients and being sensitive to timing, situations, and confidential relationships
  • Assist with pre-opening tasks as assigned by the Director of Operations

    • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Proficiency in understanding prescription medication directions and terminology
    • Valid driver's license and good driving record
    • Extensive travel (greater than 90%)
    • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:
      • Ability to work independently with little supervision
