Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system integrating a
top-tier hospital and an esteemed medical college, is seeking an
experienced RN-Otolaryngology Nurse to join our Otolaryngology
(ENT) department. This role is vital in providing specialized care
to patients experiencing ear, nose, and throat disorders. The
successful candidate will be instrumental in both outpatient and
surgical settings, playing a crucial role in patient assessments,
treatment administration, and recovery processes, while working
closely with renowned Otolaryngologists. Conduct preoperative and
postoperative care for patients undergoing ENT procedures.
Collaborate with ENT specialists to create and implement
comprehensive treatment plans. Monitor patient progress and respond
to medical emergencies in the clinic. Administer medications and
injections as prescribed by attending healthcare providers. Educate
patients and their families on ENT disorders and the after-care
required post-treatment. Maintain patient records and ensure
confidentiality and accuracy of documentation. Strong clinical
skills in a surgical environment Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in both team and
independent settings Experience with electronic medical record
systems Competency in administering patient care following
established clinical guidelines Active Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of practice Certification in Otolaryngology
Nursing (CORLN) preferred
