Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Manchester, NH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,136 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Manchester, New Hampshire, 03103! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required. Strong background in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the last year is a must. Experience in Emergency Department preferred, but not required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS BLS EKG Test on arrival Must-Have: Familiarity with EPIC charting system preferred. Weekend availability required (every other weekend). Description: This position requires nursing expertise in caring for inpatient and cardiac intermediate care holds. The nurse will manage patients with various diagnoses, including chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, and pneumonia. Additional patients may include medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, and orthopedic cases as overflow. Candidates will perform post-cardiac catheterization care and assist with ICD and pacemaker insertions, as well as cardioversions. The role requires managing and titrating various medications, including Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrilin, Labetalol, Dopamine, and Dobutamine. Nurses will operate specialized equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, and Phillips monitoring systems. Skills needed include blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, and care of ventilated patients. Experience with tracheostomy care and non-invasive airway management is preferred. Nurses must also be able to interpret arterial blood gases and manage dysrhythmias. Collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams will be essential. The position will also involve adherence to isolation precautions and appropriate management of patient care in a stepdown environment. References are required for all applicants.
