BLS Must-Have: Medical and Surgical ICU experience Description:
Position available for a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care
Unit. The unit has a mixed patient population with 8 beds and a 2:1
patient ratio. Goal staffing is 4 RNs 24/7. The unit utilizes GE
B650 cardiac monitors, ventilators, and Gaymar cooling equipment.
Documentation is performed using Meditech. Self-scheduling is
encouraged, and every other weekend availability is expected. The
ICU may float to critical care or intermediate care areas when
needed. Patient experience initiatives include AIDET validation,
effective nurse communication, whiteboard use, hourly rounding, and
bedside handoff conferences. The facility has received numerous
certifications and awards for quality and safety. Staff will have
