Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ED Holding position caring for inpatient and CICU-level holds in the Emergency Department, requiring a strong PCU background and Epic experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the ED Holding unit within a hospital setting - Responsible for inpatient and CICU-level holds in the Emergency Department - Patient population includes cardiac, medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, orthopedic, and overflow cases - Common diagnoses: chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, pneumonia - Special procedures include S/p cath with stent (no CABG), ICD/pacer insertions, and cardioversions - Manages and titrates drips such as Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrilin, Labatolol, Dopamine, and Dobutamine - Utilizes equipment including Bipap, Cpap, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, and Phillips monitoring system - Requires experience with Epic EMR - Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 - Every other weekend required - Floating requirements vary per unit - Care for a diverse patient population in an ED holding environment with frequent critical care needs - Must be able to manage and titrate a variety of IV drips for cardiac and critical care patients - Support from interdisciplinary teams is available - Former employees of any facility under SolutionHealth are not eligible for travel roles - Drug screening required within 14 days of start - Dress code and uniform policies to be provided by the facility - All vaccinations or screening requirements must be met prior to start - Orientation and training details provided upon assignment /n /n Requirements/n - Active NH or compact RN license required - Minimum of 2 years of experience, with a strong progressive care unit (PCU) background within the last year - Epic EMR experience required - Current AHA or Red Cross certifications in BLS and ACLS required - Must pass an EKG test on arrival - First-time travelers accepted only with 2 years of experience and Epic experience - References required for consideration - Travelers within 50 miles accepted at local rate /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-621138.
