, vacancies are being mitigated by contracted labor. To eliminate
contract labor needs for both RNs, 10.8 vacant budgeted positions
are posted. In the interim while hiring and training is in process,
gaps are mitigated with staff working over scheduled and
incentivized hours, floats are being utilized from other
departments, and leadership is pulled into staffing. Nursing
Supervisors are also capping census given most recent staffing
constraints, limiting the number of R1 s staffed beds and capacity.
Assessment: Per Strata, PI YTD is 88%, and PP17 is 83%.
Investigation has revealed the following: As stated above, Nursing
Supervisors have capped census based on staffing limitations. The
ADC for R1 for PP17 was 18.2 (max 36 beds). This is down from 24.1
in PP14 due to significant staffing restrictions.Of the 14 days the
last PP, 2 were within targeted budgeted productive WHPUOS

projected WHPUOS is 12.27, WHPUOS in Strata for PP 17 is 12.25.
