TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, 03801! Pay Information $2,147 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Strong Telemetry Skills Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications Chest tube experience Past ICU experience Description: General Comments: This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse. The unit has 25 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1. There are no nurse assistants or patient care technicians on the unit. The unit is supported by mid-level providers, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists available around the clock. Physical and occupational therapy services are available during the day shift. The unit is equipped with GE monitors, Hamilton Bipaps, and high-flow devices. Other equipment includes Puritan ventilators and Hemospheres. Documentation is done using Meditech Expanse. Scheduling requirements include working 12 shifts for the month, which equates to 3 shifts per week. A minimum of 4 weekend shifts per month is also required. Department leadership will complete the schedule while considering requests for time off. Floating will occur on a rotation basis, with travelers floating first. Patient experience requirements include updating MyCare boards at each shift during bedside shift report. Bedside shift reports should be completed during each change of shift. This unit is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and a Level 2 Trauma Center. It is also part of a Three Star Open Heart Program. Desired skills include open heart experience, temporary pacing, and Swan-Ganz catheter experience. Procedures performed on the unit include intubation, central line and arterial line placement, and chest tube placement.
