Job Description:

A critical access hospitalin Berlin, NH is seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician (or aFamily Medicine Physician with strong Emergency Medicine experience) to provide24-hour Emergency Department coverage. This is a rewarding opportunity topractice in a rural hospital setting with robust 24/7 specialty support.
We are currently looking fora physician to cover July 6 and July 14, with the potential for ongoing locumor permanent opportunities.
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-qualityemergency care in a 24-hour shift format (8:00 AM - 8:00 AM)
• Manage approximately 25patients per day in a department with 8,500 visits/year
• Work solo during overnightand morning hours; APP support provided from 12 PM - 8 PM daily
• Coordinate care with on-callspecialists and arrange transfers to tertiary hospitals as needed (DHMC, CMC,Concord)
• Utilize Meditech EMR systemfor clinical documentation
• Participate in anorientation session, typically the weekday before the first shift Requirements:
  • MD or DO degree
  • Completion of an ACGME-,AOA-, or RCPSC-accredited residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine,General Surgery, or Internal Medicine
  • Board Certification inEmergency Medicine or Family Medicine required
  • Active New Hampshire medicallicense (permanent license required; no temporary licenses accepted)
  • Minimum of 1 year ofexperience in Emergency Medicine
  • Comfortable with solocoverage in a rural hospital setting
  • Proficient in emergencyprocedures and acute care decision-making
  • Certifications (currentthrough American Heart Association):
  • Neonatal ResuscitationProgram
  • Advanced Cardiovascular LifeSupport
  • Pediatric Advanced LifeSupport
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support Support Services Available24/7: Anesthesia, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics,Hospitalist team
