Position Description:

Plans, designs, and executes technical solutions and improvements using Object Oriented Programming (OOP), Java, C#, Python, Angular 2.0+, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and RDBMS. Processes and generates analytics from structured and unstructured datasets and builds scalable applications and Rapid Prototyping. Modifies existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance. Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects and proposes modifications and improvements based on user need.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.

Develops original and creative technical solutions to support on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects involving multiple platforms and supports a range of divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and execution of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications in support of corporate initiatives.

Performs post-installation testing to identify and resolve technical problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Develops technical modules in support of complex assignments and multi-phase projects.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple simultaneous projects.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience extracting unstructured public data (non-MNPI and non-PII) from public sources using Web Scraping and Web Crawling Techniques across Financial Quant related data sets.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience extracting unstructured public data (non-MNPI and non-PII) from public sources using Web Scraping and Web Crawling Techniques across Financial Quant related data sets.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) extracting unstructured web data from public websites, using Python, Web Scraping libraries, and NodeJS, in a Cloud platform within Windows and Linux environments.

DE designing and developing a configuration-driven, scalable platform to scrape targeted information, extract content, and load data in a Cloud environment; and converting unstructured data to semi-structured/structured data, using Python, SQL, Browser Developer Tools, and Kafka, in Windows and Linux environments.

DE designing and developing an automated crawling search engine that mimics human behavior on browsers, using Python, Node.js, SQL, and SOLR, to automate manual tasks and extract information with best practices in a Cloud platform within Windows and Linux environments.

DE scraping sub-webpages, using JSON, Python, SQL, and Depth First Search (DFS) algorithms, to extract a product insights in a cloud platform within Windows and Linux environments.
