Job Description:
Designs and builds large-scale, highly-available, resilient,
secure, scalable, Cloud-native (Amazon Web Services (AWS) and
Azure) digital enterprise applications on micro-services,
serverless style, and event-driven architectures using domain
driven design and 12-factor app patterns. Delivers security
solutions to ensure enterprise resources and software applications
are protected in evolving cyber-threat landscapes. Designs and
develops event driven applications using Kafka. Uses business
knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into
business solutions by developing complex or multiple software
applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and
recommends changes in project development policies, procedures,
standards, and strategies to development experts and
management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied
Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered
or five (5) years of experience analyzing and developing Web
applications within a financial or investment services
environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
analyzing and developing Web applications within a financial or
investment services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing Object-Oriented design
and Java Web application development, using Java/J2EE, Spring MVC,
Spring Security, Jersey, SOAP, RESTful Web Services, and Lightning
Web Components (LWC); developing micro-services architecture using
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA); and deploying Cloud enabled
applications using 12 factor designs. DE architecting, designing, and developing enterprise
Cloud-based financial workflow solutions using serverless
architecture patterns and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud services
-- Step Function, Lambda, SQS, IAM, KMS, SNS, SES, ALB, and
DynamoDB with NodeJS/Python. DE implementing event-driven architecture and in memory cache
solutions to process event streams, using Kafka, Spring Boot, and
Spring Cloud Stream; installing Kafka Cluster into AWS using Chef
Scripts; and implementing Active Directory security between
zookeeper, brokers, and clients, using TLS and Kafka ACLs. DE building, deploying, and supporting financial service Web and
desktop applications, using GIT, Stash, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and
uDeploy; managing source code version control, using GIT and Stash;
and automating the Continuous Integration (CI) of build, deploy,
and test process of Web and desktop applications, using Cloud
