Position Description:

Writes code in scripting languages -- Python, Groovy, Bash, and TypeScript -- to apply automation to infrastructure processes and instrumentation. Installs, operates, supports, maintains, and upgrades vendor products to support distributed computing environments that run on on-premise and Cloud infrastructure. Builds and maintains Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and supports infrastructure, system, and security configurations and policies to increase the teams footprint on the Cloud infrastructure and complex trading environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

Builds operational tools for complex, distributed highly, and concurrent computing systems.

Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of existing systems.

Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance require-ments and interfaces.

Modifies existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer and Information Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience enabling 12 factor compliant, Cloud ready Java and Spring Boot applications in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer and Information Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience enabling 12 factor compliant, Cloud ready Java and Spring Boot applications in a financial services environment

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing automated Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) code for provisioning infrastructure in public Cloud Amazon Web Services (AWS) via Cloud-Formation, using Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) and TypeScript for auto-generating CloudFormation.

DE analyzing, designing, implementing, and performing version control, automated build-deploy, disaster recovery, and post-installation validation, using Jenkins, uDeploy and Con-course, according to Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

DE developing operational tools using Groovy, Python, and Bash to onboard and optimize the usage of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools -- Jenkins, Docker, Concourse, and Autosys -- to build 12-factor compliant software applications, using Java, Java Swing, Spring Boot, .Net, and Angular frameworks.

DE implementing robust, compliant, and governance strategic infrastructure environment for 12-factor compliant, Cloud ready Java, Spring, and relational database applications, using Spring Boot microservices in a financial or analytical services environment; and hosting services to public Cloud (AWS), using Docker and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes (EKS).
