Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Economics,
Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field and
three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years
of experience performing data engineering and analysis to support
mutual fund performance.
Or alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a
closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job
offered or one (1) year of experience performing data engineering
and analysis to support mutual fund performance.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (DE) reflecting changes in securities to
portfolio holdings as a result of corporate event using analysis of
corporate action and accounting concepts; and performing manager
review and oversight of all complex corporate action event
processing to downstream trading applications.
DE allocating associate workloads to meet critical intraday
deadlines; implementing changes to portfolio holdings and managing
corporate action investment tasks and competing priorities to meet
daily Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that allow downstream
business partners to calculate net asset values for impacted
portfolios; and identifying areas of risk within workflows and work
processes to mitigate risk by initiating and implementing process
improvements using Jira.
DE developing and maintaining workflows and procedures related
to complex corporate actions -- corporate reorganizations, IPOs,
and private debt restructuring events; and collaborating with
external (trading desks, agent banks, and legal counsel) and
internal (accounting, fund reporting, and processing) groups to
affect change to corporate structures and identify fund
DE leading process improvement projects for key corporate action
work streams to affect change to the business using Agile
methodologies; and automating and improving straight through
processing from corporate action workstations to downstream
accounting, trading, and compliance applications using Jira and
business value metrics.
