Job Description:
Position Description: Designs, develops, tests, releases, installs, and supports High
Income applications. Develops and designs software applications,
using Sever Side Java, J2EE, REST, SQL, JUnit, Tomcat, Kafka,
Tibco, EMS, JMS, Apache, and ActiveMQ. Performs Continuous
Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline implementation,
static code analysis, and Test Driven Development (TDD), using Open
Source Frameworks (Spring Boot and Spring Core) and Amazon Web
Services (AWS) services (F,C2, EIS, Lambda, and S3). Uses business
knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into
business solutions by developing complex or multiple software
applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and
recommends changes in project development policies, procedures,
standards, and strategies to development experts and
management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
performing multi-tier MVC Web development using Struts, Spring MVC,
IOC, and AOP. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience performing multi-tier MVC Web
development using Struts, Spring MVC, IOC, and AOP. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) building high performant,
lightweight container Web applications, using Java, Spring,
Hibernate, Python, Node JS, Kotlin, and middleware with JMS and
enterprise integration technologies; enabling Single Sign On (SSO),
using oAuth and SAML; building REST/SOAP Web Services using Apache
Axis; building User Interfaces (UIs) with scripts, parsing, and
validations, using JavaScript and JSON; and building portal
applications, using IBM WebSphere, Weblogic, and Liferay (JBOSS)
servers. DE performing database development -- designing packages,
triggers, and tables -- using Oracle; performing Oracle query
tuning; troubleshooting real-time, complex stored procedures using
Oracle; performing Oracle database virtualization; performing ETL
processing, using Shell scripts and PLSQL; and performing database
design on database systems -- Oracle, MySQL server, ReThinkDB, and
DynamoDB. DE designing and developing dynamic responsive Single Page Web
Applications (SPA), using Angular 8+; performing Test Driven
Development (TDD), using Karma and Jasmine; performing Acceptance
Test Driven Development (ATDD) using testing frameworks --
Cucumber; developing Single Page Applications (SPA) using AWS S3
(for content storage), Apache tomcat, and Node platform; and
designing application sequence flows and static diagrams. DE building and staging software applications, using Maven,
Gradle, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
processes, and NPM; monitoring code quality, using Sonar, Eclipse
PMD, and Veracode; performing application load testing using
JMeter; and conducting penetration, capacity, and longevity testing
