Designs, builds, and maintains Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, using observability tooling on an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud infrastructure. Supports and builds operational tools for distributed computing systems in an Agile environment. Applies automation to infrastructure processes and instrumentation, using Python, Groovy, Bash, and TypeScript. Builds automated solutions that interact with APIs and frameworks that support products. Designs and implements infrastructure and security technologies within a Cloud environment. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience building efficient and performant Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (using Jenkins), and automating the deployment of Cloud native applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience building efficient and performant Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (using Jenkins), and automating the deployment of Cloud native applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing application build and deployment for mission critical SpringBoot, Python, NodeJS, and AngularJS applications, using CI/CD, Jenkins Core (Kubernetes based CloudBees Product), Modular Component Application Deployments (MCADS), Maven, Concourse, Artifactory, and GitHub.

DE building Cloud native middle-tier applications using AWS Cloud technologies -- AWS S3, EC2, AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, and SQS.

DE performing security, monitoring, and performance tuning of databases, Web applications, and Microservices; and ensuring High Availability/Disaster Recovery Service Level Objective (SLO) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) needs across streaming platforms, using Ansible, Java, Python, Groovy, Shell Scripting, Datadog, and Kafka.

DE writing, maintaining, and executing scripts, -- Groovy, Python, Bash Scripts, and TypeScript; consuming and developing APIs using Spring REST; and documenting APIs, using Swagger and OpenAPI.
