hire an enthusiastic Union Street Clubhouse Director to work
closely with the CEO and Director of Operations to manage the daily
operations of the organization's main clubhouse and summer day camp
program.JOB SUMMARYResponsible for directing, managing and
overseeing the delivery of a broad range of programs and services
within the Union Street Clubhouse and the Camp Foster summer day
camp program. Supervise and administer the planning, development,
and implementation of programs; full-time program staff; and
services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Reasonable

implementation and evaluation of an overall program that maximizes
the use of available resources, achieves organizational goals and
is consistent with the Boys and Girls Club approach to Youth
Development while ensuring the health and safety of the members. In
collaboration with the Program Director, oversee strategic planning
for programs including evaluation, program performance and
identification of new program opportunities.Work with the Director
of Operations in the implementation and supervision of the CACFP
food program, including ensuring accurate reporting of units
served.Develop and foster a positive climate for youth development
- ensuring that members: actively participate in a variety of
programs/activities; feel open to seek advice/guidance from staff
regarding problems; and receive care, respect and recognition for
their efforts.Participate in interviewing and selection of the
full-time program professionals who will work within the unit. Work
with other program directors for the recruitment and selection and
training of all part-time program affiliated staff.Responsible for
the supervision and evaluation of the full-time program
professionals working within the unit; enhancing their levels of
competence through appropriate training; and facilitating their
career development.Work with the directors to develop and monitor
work schedules for part-time program staff. Work with the full-time
program professionals to train, supervise and evaluate their
performance to ensure that they develop the skills needed to meet
job expectations.Work with the directors to develop and monitor

job expectations.Assist with the preparation of an annual budget
for the Unit. Upon approval of a budget, manage the expenditures of
the Unit within the set financial guidelines. Identify and
recommend facility, equipment and fleet maintenance repairs to the
Facilities Director.Working with the Marketing Director the Unit
Director is responsible for the coordination of all publicity and
marketing for programs and services offered within the unit.
Programs will be promoted and marketed to members with information
disseminated in a timely fashion for the development of advertising
and promotional brochures, mailings, flyers and media
releases.Responsible for the management of all administrative
functions for the unit programs, activities and services including
the proper record keeping and compiling of statistical data
reflecting all activities, attendance, and participation.Serve as
Camp Director for the summer day camp program which will include
the hiring, training, scheduling and evaluation of all summer
program staff as well as program development. Secure and maintain
CPR/FPR Certification as well as a CDL-B bus drivers
license.Develop collaborative partnerships with other youth-serving
organizations, parents, families, school and community
organizations and will maintain strong public relations for Club
programs, services and activities.Performs supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and
applicable laws. Responsibilities include safety, interviewing,
hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing
work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems.Serve as a positive
role model to the members to inspire them to realize their full
potential.Perform other duties as assigned.JOB QUALIFICATIONS,
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESHigh School diploma or equivalent
required and Bachelor's degree in the areas of Human Services,
Social Work, Child Development or related discipline required and a
minimum of 5 years' experience working with youth programming and
development with personnel supervisory responsibilities.Bilingual,
Spanish preferred.Must be at least 21 years old and ability to
obtain a CDL-B bus driver's license with a passenger endorsement
within one year of hire and drive daily routes as required by the
organization.Must obtain and maintain mandatory CPR and First Aid
CertificationsValid driver's license and clean driving
record.Ability to pass background screening including: criminal
background screening and drug screening.Proficient in MS Office
Suite including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Ability to
manage expenses and maintain a budget.Consistently display strong
communication and interpersonal skills in a customer friendly
approach.Ability and willingness to mentor and help others learn
and succeed.Demonstrated ability in working with young people,
parents, and colleagues.Strong written communications skills
required.Ability to consistently remain calm, focused and
professional in a large group and/or high stress situation caused
by conflict or difficult members or parents.Ability to be flexible
with base hours as assigned by the Director of Operations to ensure
coverage of all open hours of operation of the Union St. Clubhouse
and school-based Extensions.Ability to be flexible with summer day
camp program hours.Ability to be involved in direct member service
during the school vacation camp programs. It is understood that the
completion of organizational goals may require work beyond the
normal work hours throughout the year.Ability to be flexible with
summer day camp program hours.Environmental conditions are both
inside and outside with possible exposure to extreme heat of 100
degrees or more for more than one hour and extreme cold of 32
degrees or less for more than one hour.The Boys & Girls Club of
