B.S. Electrical Engineering or related field -- 5+ years of
experience in Electrical Engineering (BS), New Product Design and
Development-- 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
(MS), New Product DevelopmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:-- M.S.
preferred -- Experience in audio and/or military programs
desiredABOUT THE JOB!The primary function of this position is to
conceive, design, develop, evaluate and document electrical
circuits and systems. This role will also provide engineering
support on interdisciplinary teams involved with production
transition and process control activities. Gentex offers a robust

work week.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: -- Experience in digital
design with embedded controllers and/or digital signal processors--
Experience in analog and/or audio design, such as microphone
amplifiers, audio filters-- Experience in designing with linear and
switch mode regulators-- Experience with EMI measurement and
mitigation techniques-- Proficiency with modern schematic capture
and layout tools, Cadence OrCAD schematics and Allegro layout
preferred.-- Proficiency with lab instruments such as
oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network
analyzers etc.-- Knowledge of signal processing techniques in
software (DSP) is desired-- Micropower/battery powered design
experience desired-- Ability to create technical documents and
presentations with general computer applications such as word
processor (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel), presentation software
(MS PowerPoint), etc.-- Able to work in small multi-disciplinary
teams with minimal supervisionRESPONSIBILITIES: -- Responsible for
the detailed design, schematic capture, and layout of electronic
circuits (RF, digital, analog, embedded, and power systems)--
Create detailed system block diagrams and schematics-- Design and
create multi-layer PCB layouts-- Coordinate with software
developers to define hardware/software interfaces-- Participate in
technical aspects of bids and proposals including conceptual
design, technical proposal writing and cost estimates-- Record,
analyze and interpret test data using appropriate statistical
techniques or other appropriate methods-- Prepare and present
technical reports, recommendations and presentations related to
development and design studies, product, and process
investigations-- Direct and mentor other more junior engineers,
designers, and technicians in the execution of electrical
engineering related product design and development activities--
Review designs improve reliability, testability, and ease of
manufacture-- Report regularly on project status and progress,
especially noting variance from baseline projections-- Schedule
flexibility to support critical deadlines may be requiredTO
