Must work well unsupervised and with others. Must be able to take direction from supervisors and managers not directly associated with the maintenance department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES - SUCCESSFUL FACTORSTroubleshoots, repairs and conducts preventative maintenance. Also includes but is not limited to the following:Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and serviceComply with OSHA Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (gmps) and food defense guidelinesPerform other duties as assigned or needed.Must adhere by all established policies and procedures including following Company Core Values.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalent education from a Vocational Technical SchoolTechnical training; exposure to high-speed equipment in a food manufacturing environment preferred3-5 years of related experience in packing machines/production machinesMust be flexible to work weekends when required 5.
