Job Description:

Aqueduct Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Engineer on a full-time permanent basis for their customer based in Manchester, NH (Remote). The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for evaluating, installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining various LAN, WAN, and WLAN systems in support of the complex Information Technology infrastructure and member/partner networks. Essential Responsibilities: + Evaluates, configures, installs, and maintains various network hardware and software. This includes but is not limited to network switches, network routers, wireless access points, and battery backup systems. + Evaluates, configures, installs, and maintains network/cybersecurity hardware and software. This includes but is not limited to firewalls, VPN devices, NAC systems, and web filters. + Evaluates, configures, installs, and maintains server/network monitoring and management systems. + Evaluates, configures, installs, maintains, and monitors datacenter and network closet environmental monitoring systems. + Proactively monitors network performance and integrity to maintain the highest levels of network availability. Triages and escalates issues to other functional groups as necessary. + Maintains an accurate inventory with proper documentation of assigned systems. + Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery procedures as they relate to the reliability and redundancy of the network infrastructure. + Utilizes current IT Service Management software to ensure end user and/or infrastructure generated incidents (tickets) are logged, dispatched, escalated, and resolved efficiently to minimize user and system downtime. Maintains accurate service request records for reporting purposes. + Follows established standardization and quality guidelines regarding the installation of assigned systems and cabling. + Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with vendors and partners to ensure systems and hardware operate reliably throughout their designated lifecycle. + Follows established guidelines for system change control and system event reporting. Implements approved changes based on priority and updates relevant documentation, when applicable. + Fully monitors and maintains system backups for all assigned hardware and systems. Maintains accurate documentation as it relates to how systems are backed up. + Communicates project status with applicable project managers, coworkers, and IT leadership. + Maintains assigned hardware and systems to current suitable versions and plans, recommends, and implements upgrades as necessary. + Available after-hours and weekends, as needed, to support projects and normal operations. + Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by IT leadership. Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent combination of education and 8-10 years relevant experience. + Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred + One or more current IT industry standard certification from Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Microsoft, etc. + Multiple current IT industry standard certifications across technologies from Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Microsoft, etc. Cisco CCNP or equivalent preferred. + 5-7 years support Network Infrastructure required. 7+ years of experience in this or a related position. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Experience with the following vendors preferred: Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Citrix/F5, ShoreTel, Avaya, and/or SolarWinds. + Expert knowledge of network device administration, including various network operating systems (IOS, NXOS, etc.) command-line interfaces. + Expert knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles. Intermediate knowledge of network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.) + Expert knowledge of network switching and routing protocols (QOS, Spanning Tree, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, etc.) + Expert knowledge of network security principles (firewalls, VPN, ACL, NAC, etc.) Intermediate knowledge of scripting for the purpose of systems management and automation. + Intermediate knowledge of server and desktop operating system configuration and administration + Effective problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting skills, verbal and written communication skills, prioritization and decision-making ability, time management skills and good customer service skills.
