  • Maintains smooth operation of a variety of networks. Plans, evaluates, designs, and coordinates installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing.
  • Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.Required Education, Experience, & Skills Professional Skills
    • An active Secret Clearance is required
    • Must be able to obtain a Security+ or equivalent security certification within 6 months of starting
    • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex problems in a production environmentMinimum of a High School Diploma and 10 plus years of relevant experience
    • Ability to independently research solutions to problems and propose viable solutions
    • Ability to work with multiple teams to accomplish complex tasks
    • Comfortable working with multiple vendors in a heterogeneous environment Technical skills
      • Familiarity with at least one virtualization platformGood understanding of Cisco and Juniper technologies
      • Experience with LAN switching technologies such as VLANS, spanning tree, and ether-channel
      • Capable of configuring network routing protocols such as Static OSPF & BGP
      • Comfortable with Firewall routing, policy, and inspection
      • Familiarity with configuring and managing NAT devices
      • Experience with IP-Sec VPNs and GREPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
        Security + or equivalent certificationExperience with various WAN technologies such as MPLS and EthernetFamiliarity with networking requirements for high performance storage systemsExperience with network virtualization and SD-WANA basic knowledge of programming languages like PythonUnderstand EVPN-VXLAN overlay architecturesExperience with VMware network architecturesUse of data center orchestration technologies such as ApstraFamiliarity with multicast technologies and anycast routingExperience with high speed Ethernet technologies (25GB, 40GB, & 100GB physical implementation)Familiarity with public cloud technologiesWork in a GitOps style automation pipeline Technical skills

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
