Education CoordinatorGeneral Purpose of the JobThis position cares for all of the educational needs of the children that attend our programs. Program curriculum is to be developed implemented and put into an active schedule. Once it is in that schedule student files are to be kept for accurate development and improvement of the students. This includes tutoring, all test preparation, application process assistance of any type and the Joy of Reading program. This position is not just for children it is also part of the Senior programs as well. In three words "All things educational".ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must work well with children; and be able to discern children's academic needs. Develop and direct service programs for reading, tutoring, and homework, live zoom class help and any innovation that may develop in the everchanging education field. Maintain detailed records of each student that is being assisted in any of the educational offerings. Recruit and train high school and college volunteers to tutor younger students in any subject as needed. Assist and or create family / youth events with established goals. Participate in the Kid's Caf-- program, Teen Program and Seniors programs. Complete required KeepSAfe abuse risk management training as defined by the KeepSAfe policy and as assigned by supervisor. Teacher during the Summer Fun Club program. Senior Caf-- responsibilities; develop and teach seniors on computers, games, and other learning programs. Assist with Warm Clothing event, Thanksgiving, Christmas applications, Toys for Tots, Toy Shop. All other duties as assigned.
