Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities: Review and approve 500 individual returns (1040s) and 100 business returns prepared by staff Client support: serve as escalation point for complex client questions and technical tax issues Project manage tax season workflow, deadlines, and resource allocation across hybrid team Lead day-to-day operations of Leominster office during client transition period Directly manage 2 Office Managers while coordinating with remote preparation team Maintain quality standards and ensure consistent client communication during ownership change Identify process improvements and integration opportunities with our systems Flexible hours with possible weekend work during busy season Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Experience managing high-volume 1040 practices strongly preferred PTIN required Active CPA license a strong plus Prior experience with Thomspon Reuters UltraTax a strong plus Track record leading teams through transitions or busy seasons Strong understanding of federal and state tax codes, individual taxes, pass-through entities, S Corps 2 years of public accounting experience a strong plus (experience at firms like RSM, Baker Tilly, CLA, Big-4 or similar) Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
