Job Description:

Duties: Serve as a member of Fidelity's Institutional Technical (FIT)

Production Support and Development group. Will analyze, design, program and

maintain technology for the Fidelity brokerage platform (domestic and

international trading) and back office processing, as well as institutional

front-end solutions. Develop, enhance and maintain brokerage trading

systems and applications within mainframe and client server environments.

Primary Responsibilities

• Contribute throughout the software project lifecycle including:

requirements gathering, analysis, specification creation, software design,

implementation, unit testing, integration, and delivery for brokerage

trading systems and applications.

• Develop concise and clear technical design documents based on

analysis of business requirements.

• Analyze technical designs at the application level and define

strategies.

• Recommend technical solutions to project leaders.

• Engage in functional and technical group discussions with analysts

and developers.

• Utilize Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles and other

technology-specific best practices.

• Deliver on projects and support tasks in a dynamic environment.

• Evaluate strengths and limitations of current and developing

technologies.

• Provide sustainable application improvements to support business

processes.

• Provide mentoring and coaching to junior team members.

• Work with business analysts and customers to gather and document

system requirements.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and three (3) years of

experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing

and developing online, real-time, financial brokerage trading applications;

or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and one (1) year of

experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience designing and

developing online, real-time, financial brokerage trading applications.

Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing,

embedding and testing margin formulas for financial brokerage trading

applications; DE developing and executing automated test plans and test

cases; and writing test scripts in Java/COBOL/DB2; DE writing shell scripts

to deploy Java WebServices to Unix/Linux production environments, including

automating application deployment using UDeploy; building, deploying and

automation using Jenkins; and version control using RTC; DE developing

applications along the Software Development Lifecycle, including developing

project plans according to Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
