Position Description:

Designs and develops systems and solutions using tools -- Java, C#, Angular.js, and Python. Performs static code analysis and implements Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to provide automation. Builds messaging frameworks, using Kafka and JMS. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining full stack Web applications and REST/SOAP Services.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience designing, developing, and maintaining full stack Web applications and REST/SOAP Services.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and documenting Application Programming Interface (API) specifications and generating API Stubs using Swagger; building Microservices approach with REST/SOAP Web Services -- Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Python 3.5 +; implementing OAuth and proof of profession exchange using Apigee; developing scalable messaging applications using Apache Kafka; developing responsive Web applications using Angular JS, Angular 4+, Bootstrap, JQuery, HTML, and CSS; performing unit-testing using Junit, Mockito, Jest, Karma, Jasmine, and Protractor; and performing Test Driven Development (TDD) using Cucumber, Cypress, and TestNG.

DE performing database development -- designing packages, triggers, and tables -- using Oracle; performing Oracle query tuning; troubleshooting real-time, complex stored procedures using Oracle; performing Oracle database virtualization; performing ETL processing using Shell scripts and PLSQL; and performing database design on database systems -- Oracle, MySQL server, DynamoDB, and Redis Cache.

DE building and deploying applications, using Maven, Git, Jenkins, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) in a financial services environment; monitoring code quality, using Sonar and Veracode; and managing Kubernetes and container lifecycles --deployments, scaling, networking, and load balancing.

DE developing and running secure Cloud-native applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS) core services -- EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Elastic Cache and Lambda; securing applications in AWS, using AWS IAM roles and KMS; deploying and running applications; querying and analyzing data in Grafana; building Concourse pipelines in Docker containers; performing infrastructure automation using DevOps scripting (Python and PowerShell); building log aggregating dashboards, using AWS CloudWatch and Datadog; and hosting applications within AWS Cloud infrastructure.
