Job Description:
Engages key strategic initiatives focused on the replacement of
core platforms. Collaborates with business partners for process
improvements. Identifies impact funds -- drives scale efficiencies
on end-to-end processes by shadowing sessions with internal and
external partners to enhance end-to-end knowledge of Trade
Operations, Pricing, FPCMS Tax, Fund Accounting, and Trading
Desk. Primary Responsibilities: Continues the enhancement of complex review activities and
processes through internal collaboration for the growth of
efficient review techniques and best practices across global
business units. Analyzes reports on all corporate actions and runs macros across
reports to generate relevant information for process status and
delivery estimation. Identifies financial stress points and risk exposure and advises
on possible solutions. Documents findings of studies and prepares recommendations for
implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational
changes. Reviews forms and reports and confers with management and users
about format, distribution, and purpose. Identifies problems and improvements. Engages team members of multiple business units to analyze
processes, create better synergies, identify impacts, and refine
global operating models. Conducts organizational studies and evaluations. Designs systems and procedures. Conducts work simplification and measurement studies. Prepares operations and procedures manuals to assist management
in operating more efficiently and effectively. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Economics,
Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field and
three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years
of experience performing data engineering and analysis to support
mutual fund performance. Or alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a
closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job
offered or one (1) year of experience performing data engineering
and analysis to support mutual fund performance. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) reflecting changes in securities to
portfolio holdings as a result of corporate event using analysis of
corporate action and accounting concepts; and performing manager
review and oversight of all complex corporate action event
processing to downstream trading applications. DE allocating associate workloads to meet critical intraday
deadlines; implementing changes to portfolio holdings and managing
corporate action investment tasks and competing priorities to meet
daily Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that allow downstream
business partners to calculate net asset values for impacted
portfolios; and identifying areas of risk within workflows and work
processes to mitigate risk by initiating and implementing process
improvements using Jira. DE developing and maintaining workflows and procedures related
to complex corporate actions -- corporate reorganizations, IPOs,
and private debt restructuring events; and collaborating with
external (trading desks, agent banks, and legal counsel) and
internal (accounting, fund reporting, and processing) groups to
affect change to corporate structures and identify fund
processing. DE leading process improvement projects for key corporate action
work streams to affect change to the business using Agile
methodologies; and automating and improving straight through
processing from corporate action workstations to downstream
accounting, trading, and compliance applications using Jira and
