Job Description:
Aligns Information Technology (IT) services with the needs of
the firm using an Information Technology Infrastructure Library
(ITIL) framework, Tableau visualization tool, and SQL. Enhances
remote access capabilities, using Citrix, Xen, and VDIs. Provides
technical expertise and assists in crisis management for major
system outages or issues with major impact to the business and
consults with application support and development groups on
application problems, new releases, new applications, systems, and
infrastructure. Primary Responsibilities: Defines and recommends process improvement initiatives. Participates in the development of tools used to facilitate
operational procedures. Completes technical service requests. Drives incident management and resolutions and identifies root
cause and coordination of fixes. Responsible for the creation and documentation of disaster
recovery procedures. Creates contingency plans covering key areas of vulnerability
within the system. Coordinates systems installation and configuration of systems
installation and infrastructure changes. Responsible for the maintenance of system diagrams and
operational procedures. Develops tools to automate the collection and analysis of
operational data. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on multiple projects concurrently. Establishes on-time and on-budget project goals. Maintains status of project and monitors activities of team
members. Provides application support and assists in the identification,
isolation, and escalation of problems of limited scope. Participates in application functionality analysis by gathering
appropriate data and presenting it in chart form for analysis. Participates in the evaluation of design for existing systems to
assess their reliability, performance, usage, maintainability, and
cost of ownership. Participates in the development of technical solutions of
limited complexity to support delivery of service requests. Performs functional analysis for small to moderate projects. Participates in on-call rotations. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience providing production and operational support to
mission-critical client/server business applications within an
enterprise infrastructure. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience providing production and operational
support to mission-critical client/server business applications
within an enterprise infrastructure. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) triaging and resolving complex asset
management and financial application issues and data anomalies
across portfolio management, trading, and research functions using
Oracle, Informatica Power Center, and Computer Associates AutoSys
job scheduling system; and onboarding programs for new business
users, using Microsoft Active Directory services, Microsoft Cloud
SharePoint Services, and Amazon Connect; and building and testing
hardware and software requirements on virtual Cloud desktops, using
remote desktop connection, Citrix Director Console, and Bomgar
Remote Access tool. DE testing application compatibilities, using Microsoft Azure
Cloud and physical desktops, blades, laptops, and mobile devices;
identifying performance issues and engaging with end user computing
partners to troubleshoot; managing personal device connections, and
implementing changes to desktop and remote access environments
after regression testing, using Admin Studio, Microsoft System
Center Configuration Manager, Rally Point, Citrix Director Console,
Bomgar Remote Access tool, and Symantec VIP Manager Portal. DE providing installation and upgrade support to development
teams during migration of on-premise, in-house, and vendor-based
applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud platforms;
performing down and up scaling, using AWS services -- Elastic Cloud
Compute (EC2) and Auto Scaling Groups; coordinating auto-scaling
Cloud server EC2 instances; creating and monitoring Cloud watch
alerts using Cloud Watch monitoring tool; and building performance
data dashboards and application performance monitors, using Splunk
and Data Dog. DE troubleshooting production incidents, using Web based and
desktop client applications hosted on-premise and on public Cloud
platforms; scripting and executing stored procedures or functions
in Oracle, Snowflake, and IBM Netezza databases; and monitoring,
scheduling, and configuring TIBCO EMS and Kafka messaging and
